Our Castle

We are now renting a cute house near Phoenix AZ
our castle is 1,590 square feet we are hoping to stay here for at least 3 years.

Here is our 2-bedroom apartment in Logan, UT.
While 1,100 square feet sounds spacious, it can be challenging when
the builders did a weird layout.

Kitchen that is built in

Shelving unit we bought became our pantry.
No more knife block. Movable island is still going strong!

Open shoe organizer.
We orginally had a beautifully closed bench type shoe orgaizer but we switched to this.
Because of these reasons
Fits more shoes
Moves very easily (it breaks down)
Can actually see the shoes
Makes our 'stuff' become decor!
Here is our closet...

How simplifying got us an iPad

My latest kick has been decorating and simplifying
they sort of conflict but I'm trying to decorate with multifunctional decorations
Above is an example of getting rid of things I have in excess. (I seriously had 7 wooden spoons)
Everything for mixing, cooking, and serving is what you see!
Simplify its the new orgainize!

I'll get some pictures up of my organizing! We are renting a very old house right now and I've had to get creative on how I organize and store things

 Thayne's Changing table/ dresser

Our tiny"guest" bathroom

Picture
Mod Podge and your favorite scrapbook paper easily make drab clear plastic drawers into personalized
storage centers!

File holder for my lids. Cost $1.00

DI CD rack to hold my lids. This drawer was horrible before! Cost $1.00

We got futon that had broken legs so we put two pallets under it. Now we have extra storage!
Cost? Free! Did I mention I love pallets?

One of the drawers that used to be a junk drawer now
I know exactly what is in this drawer! And have a bit more room! Cost $1.00

Baby stuff Cost: $2.00

I have a lot of dishes I have four 16 piece sets and a million cups!
The organizers I bought are from Walmart. I paid $9.00 for 3 different sizes
and I think it worked out great!

My file/ mail command center. No more paper clutter! Oh and now I can actually find
all my pens and markers! I have a ton of extra cups so I used them. Tin cans would work too.

You know those photos that aren't photo album worthy but you can't throw away? Ya... this is for organizing them! We got a package that was 12 inches... 4x6 pictures fit perfectly in them I simply cut off two of the panels (across from each other used one as a divider and glued it in with rubber cement (You could easily use elmers. And filled with pictures!

Our "linen" closet/ bathroom storage... tiny space for a lot of things but we did it! Beach towels on top,
baby baby supplies, nail polish, towels, you name it we got it in there!

Just imagine this drawer NOT organized! I now can find all my measuring tools!
