Cutting your spouses/kids hair
saves a ton of money! Especially over the long run.
To see how much we have saved click here

We just saved a ton of money by camping while traveling. It was really fun and we were able to spend some
quality time together without technology. I also made some food for the road so we didn't have to buy junk food/fast food.

Make your own bread!!! Its not hard at all (trust me!)
I have a sour dough start (don't be scared by the word sourdough it doesn't taste sour)
I use this start every week to feed my family sometimes more than once a week!

Adam and I recently realized that we hadn't bought new clothes since well... high school

In college you don't really worry about that kind of thing (or at least we didn't)
In order to save money on buying clothes we turned to ebay. First we sold clothes that we never
wore or didn't fit any more.
Then we looked up recent trends and with the money we earned from our old clothes we bought
"new clothes"
We saved a lot of money and updated our wardrobes

Blog post about the homemade cleaners I like here

This picture is not mine its crazycraftbugs go here to read about how to make your own dish soap

Make your own stuff
If you are on pinterest you know you've seen stuff like this
Save money and make your own cleaners.
Have you done it?
Of course not!
Well I put a few to the test and these are the ones I use.

Dish Washer Soap:
Click the link below the picture to get the recipe
I am  weird and pretty much wash my dishes before they go in the dish washer
so I recommend it to those who do the same. I don't think this recipe is strong enough for you to let
icky dishes sit over night and expect a miracle clean

Laundry Soap:
Recipe here
This recipe saves a lot of money. 2 gallons of liquid laundry soap.
So far so good I've been using it for over 2 months now.
I especially love it for my cloth diapers
(only use 1/4 of what is recommended when washing your diapers, that goes for any soap)
P.S. I used Ivory soap and use only 1/2 a bar if you make this with Ivory

Homemade "Febreeze":
Smells so good and its super cheap.

Household notebook
List what you have so you don't keep buying the same ones. For example I always buy canned pineapple but really I need peaches. Then I don't keeping stocking up on the pineapples. It saves money to know what you actually have trust me. Another plug for organizing if you organize then you'll be able to find everything you have and not have to buy the same things you lose over and over again... like scotch tape...

Printable found here
and keep track of everything you stock up on. That way when you are about to run out of something you aren't surprised... like toilet paper.
